The Jefferson Campus in northeastern Birmingham, Alabama, the Shelby-Hoover Campus in northern Shelby County, the St. Clair-Pell City Campus in Pell City, and the Chilton-Clanton Campus in Clanton are all part of Jefferson State Community College, which is a public community college with multiple campuses in Alabama.

The Commission accredits the associate degree at Jefferson State on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Ten distinct professional evaluation organisations accredit individual academic programs on a national level.

Huntingdon College offers a bachelor’s degree program on two of Jeff State’s campuses. Students can attend class one night a week and obtain their bachelor’s degree in a standard time frame because the courses are expedited. Students can get financial aid through Huntingdon for this program, which lasts 5 weeks.

Jefferson State Community College Application for Admission 2023 Requirements;

High school graduates or GED recipients who have never attended a college, including Jefferson State, are considered first-time college students. Students must have completed high school or have received a GED.

Application Fee

  • In-State Students’ Tuition/Fees Out-of-State Students: $164 per credit hour
  • Each credit hour costs $287.
  • Adult Fees for Seniors Per credit hour, $41

Examples of primary forms of identification:

  • Unexpired Alabama Driver’s License or Instruction Permit
  • Unexpired Alabama Identification Card
  • Voter Registration Card
  • Unexpired United States Passport
  • The unexpired United States Permanent Resident Card
  • S. Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-151) prior to 1978
  • Unexpired Driver’s License or Instruction Permit from another state or possession that validated lawful presence, dated 2000 and beyond
  • I-797 Form with an expiration date
  • BIA or tribal identification card with photo
  • Official transcripts are required. They can’t be faxed or emailed as attachments.
  • College transcripts must be delivered directly from the college or educational agency to records@jeffersonstate.edu by mail or a secure electronic submission service (such as Parchment or Clearinghouse).
  • Transcripts from high school must include graduation date and can be sent by mail or e-Scrip from the school, or handed in person if sealed inside an envelope from the school.
  • Transcripts having a graduation date in the future are referred to as incomplete transcripts.
  • Transcripts for the GED can be requested at ged.com.
