Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University are dedicated to accepting students who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement. The University is committed to offering higher education access and opportunity in accordance with its mission. They acknowledge that certain students have the potential for achievement that cannot be determined only by their exam scores.

 

As a result, a Composite Predictive Index (CPI) score of 18 or more is required to be fully accepted into Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. The CPI is calculated by adding the high school grade point average (GPA) plus the ACT/SAT results. The GPA, on the other hand, cannot be less than 2.0.

 

If you do not meet the admission requirements for full acceptance, you must have a CPI score of 16 or above to be conditionally accepted. A freshman student is a student who has completed high school prerequisites and is joining the University for the first time (students with dual enrollment credits are classified as freshmen).

A freshman is a student who has completed less than 12 transferable credit hours at another post-secondary institution and has a grade point average (GPA) of less than 2.00.

ACT/SAT WAIVER REQUIREMENTS

  • To be admitted, you must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0.
  • A 2.0 GPA or better is required on the final high school transcript.

Fill out the Alabama A&M University application and send it in.

 

TRANSCRIPTS, ACT RESULTS OR SAT RESULTS

  • Transcripts and ACT/SAT scores should be sent to the Office of Admissions.
  • Alabama A&M University’s Office of Admissions is located at P.O. Box 908 in Normal, Alabama 35762.

 

FEE FOR APPLICATION

  • Pay the $30 non-refundable Application Fee for Admissions.

  • Your FSA ID identifies you as a person with permission to access your own personal information on ED systems like the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA ®) form or the myStudentAid mobile app.

 

Make a new FSA ID by filling out the form below.

  • Fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form (FAFSA)
  • You must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Help to apply for federal student aid such as grants, work-study, and loans (FAFSA).
