The College offers a range of occupational programmes including Learnerships, Apprenticeships and Skills Programmes. Applicants can now apply for the Port Elizabeth Tvet College to pursue a course of their choice. PE college also offers programmes in the field of business studies, engineering studies, and utility courses.
To give the youth access to PE College, the government has made funds available in the form of bursaries to qualifying students who require financial assistance and can demonstrate potential for academic success. The Department of Education TVET College bursary scheme assists students intending to enrol at TVET Colleges for National Certificate Vocational (NCV) programmes, but who are unable to fund their studies. Students may apply based on the Means test administered by the college.

- A certificate of Good Conduct, from their previous institutions of learning or place of work
- A certified copy of the last school report original must be presented on the application
