SASSA Application Form For Disability Grant 2024

Exploring the SASSA Disability Grant Application 2024: A Comprehensive Guide:

If you have a physical or mental disability which makes you unfit to work for a period of longer than six months, you are qualified to apply for a Sassa disability grant for the year 2024. You get a permanent disability grant if your disability continues for more than a year and a temporary disability grant if your disability will last for a continuous period of not less than six months and not more than 12 months.

When it comes to providing essential financial assistance to those living with disabilities in South Africa, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) plays an essential role. The SASSA Disability Grant is designed to support individuals with permanent disabilities that hinder their ability to work. The 2024 application process has seen some modifications, and it’s important to understand these changes to submit a successful application.

  • Proof Of Assets:

Your assets should not be above a certain threshold. As of my last training data in September 2021, this was R1,056,000 if you were single, or R2,112,000 combined if you were married.

You must have a valid South African Identity Document (ID) or proof of application for an ID from the Department of Home Affairs.
