Through varied instructional modes and lifelong learning opportunities, the College prepares students for gainful employment, career advancement, college transfer, and workforce development.
Fall 2022 & Spring 2023 Admissions Applications are now open to prospective students. Admissions Acceptance/Decision letters can be viewed and downloaded in the admissions application portal of the college, also a copy of admissions decision letters will also be emailed to all applicants.
Applicants who applied for Spring, Summer or Fall 2022 admissions prior to March 4th, may still access their application information through their MyLawson Student portal, Applicants who applied on or after March 4th can access their admissions decision letters and application checklist items by logging back into their application portal.

The following are the requirements needed to apply for LSCC 2023:
- Complete an online application (lawsonstate.edu)
- Submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges, including high school.
- Submit a copy of your valid ID.

Lawson State Community College Application for Admission 2023 Financial Aid
You must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for financial aid:
- You must submit an application to Lawson State Community College in writing.
- You must be a citizen of the United States or a qualified non-citizen (FAFSA instructions). See also U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS, formerly INS), a Department of Homeland Security Bureau (DHS).
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be pursuing a degree in an approved program while making satisfactory academic progress toward that degree. Federal funding is not available for certification programs. We are unable to provide financial aid to you as long as you are a temporary student (not pursuing a degree) at Lawson State.
- You must not be in default on any federal education loan, and you must not owe a refund at any institution or university due to an overpayment of a previous federal grant or loan. The National Student Loan Database System allows you to verify your loan status (NSLDS).
- You must be registered with Selective Service as required by law.
- You must have a valid social security number. The data fields for your date of birth, name, and social security number reported on your FAFSA must match with those data elements at the Social Security Administration and at Lawson State Community College. If these do not match you must correct any errors with the FAFSA processor; you can make changes (married name, etc.) to Social Security records by submitting proper documentation to the Social Security Administration & Lawson State Community College.
