University Of York Application Deadline. For First Degree admissions, York University follows the guidelines of deadlines laid by the UCAS portal. According to UCAS, the submission of an application will continue year-round but it is recommended that the applicants start applying as soon as possible since applying to some courses are very ambitious.

Deadlines

  • 15 October 2022: The closing date for Medicine applicants for Hull York Medical School.
  • 25 January 2023: The deadline for equal consideration for all other courses (not Medicine – Hull York Medical School). We’ll consider applications received after this date if places are available. We cannot guarantee applications submitted after 26 January deadline will be given the same level of consideration as those which arrive by 25 January.
  • 23 February 2023: UCAS Extra opens. If you’ve used all five choices, and you’re not holding any offers, you can add another choice using Extra.
  • 30 June 2023: The deadline for late applications – although we recommend you apply as early as possible. Applications received after this date will be considered in Clearing.

For master’s degree applicants, the admissions are accepted all-round the year.

TUITION AND FEES

York University program fees are based on the number of credits to which students are admitted (except Bachelor of Design). All expenditures are in Canadian dollars.
The tuition fees are grouped in two folds; that’s, Domestic and International.

At York University, the School has both Domestic and International fees,
in Domestic Fees, Students must be either Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada (otherwise known as landed immigrants) effective on the dates specified on an annual basis. As an International Fee, applicants who do not have the status specified above, or who apply to York and declare themselves as visa students will be charged tuition fees at international rates.

HOW TO PAY FEES AT YORK UNIVERSITY (INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC)

Student Account Online Statement reflects all charges assessed to their account. Students can pay their student account through your bank, credit union or Caisse Populaire using telephone or online banking.

There is no specific charge on your student account for the new-student registration deposit (which is part of your tuition fees), housing deposit, or graduate confirmation deposit these can be paid using telephone or online banking as well.
* Contact your financial institution (bank, credit union or Caisse Populaire) in order to set up your bank account(s) for telephone or online banking. The company name/payee is York University.
* Applicant must use their York student number as the account number.
* When Students pay through telephone or online banking through a major Canadian bank (TD Canada Trust, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank, CIBC or BMO Bank of Montreal), it may take up to four business days for your payment to be transferred to your York student account. Processing times through other banking institutions may be longer.
* Please ensure you allow enough time between your payment and the due date for funds to be posted to your account.

As an International Student, the University does not encourage the use of third-party intermediaries such as agents to avoid any future issues with refunds. We also caution all fee payments should be made payable to “York University” and not to a third party.

 

REGISTRATION FEES (UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANTS NEW TO YORK UNIVERSITY)

Registration deposit fees are part of the tuition fees, it is no additional fee. The deposit confirms applicants’ registration at York University and unlocks services they will need to prepare for the start of classes and continue through their courses.

For the Fall/Winter 2023-2024 session, a $300 deposit must be paid after the Student begins enrolling in courses.

YORK UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ADMISSIONS.
International applicants are required to submit a few different essentials like English language proficiency scores to secure admission to the university. For Indian applicants, the minimum English language requirement is 75% for the XII standard.
Application fee: 22 GBP for one course. 26 EUR for multiple courses
