The 2025 online application period for Jefferson Community College is now open to all applicants who will like to enrol for the 2025-2026 academic year. - Official transcripts are required. They can’t be faxed or emailed as attachments.
- College transcripts must be delivered directly from the college or educational agency to records@jeffersonstate.edu by mail or a secure electronic submission service (such as Parchment or Clearinghouse).
- Transcripts from high school must include graduation date and can be sent by mail or e-Scrip from the school, or handed in person if sealed inside an envelope from the school.
- Transcripts having a graduation date in the future are referred to as incomplete transcripts.

- Step 1: Explore Available Programs:
Before starting the application process, take the time to research the programs offered at JSCC. The college provides a wide array of degree and certificate options, including:

By visiting the JSCC website and reviewing the catalog, you’ll be able to identify the program that best aligns with your academic and career aspirations.
- Step 2: Complete the Online Application:
Once you have chosen your desired program, the next step is to fill out the JSCC online application for admission. The application can be found on the college’s website and is free to submit. Make sure to provide accurate and up-to-date personal information, including your full name, address, phone number, email address, and Social Security number (if applicable).
- Step 3: Submit Transcripts and Test Scores
After completing your application, request official transcripts from your high school or any previous colleges attended. High school students should also submit their ACT or SAT scores. International students may need to provide additional documentation, such as TOEFL or IELTS scores. Ensure that all transcripts and test scores are sent directly to the JSCC Admissions Office.
- Step 4: Apply for Financial Aid
To help finance your education, apply for financial aid as soon as possible. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online and enter JSCC’s school code (001022) to ensure your information is sent to the college. - Step 6: Attend Orientation and Register for Classes

High school and GED transcripts must be certified and sent directly from the sending institution to Jefferson State. Faxed copies and e-mail attachments are not official. Students will not be allowed to enrol for a second semester unless all required transcripts have been received by Jefferson State prior to registration for the second semester.
