Central Johannesburg TVET College is a public Technical Vocational Education and Training provider in Johannesburg of South Africa’s Gauteng province. CJC is one of the colleges operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and formed due to the merge of some previous colleges on 11 September 2003. The College comprises of eight campuses, i.e. Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Crown Mines, Smit Street and Troyville.
Central Johannesbury TVET College provides national accredited progammmes as well as skills programmes to lead students/learner to jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities that contribute to economic growth. Also, bursaries are available to support students who are need and are excellent in academics.
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) prepares people for specific trades, crafts and careers at various levels from a trade, craft, technician, or high professional practitioner position in careers such as engineering, accountancy, nursing, medicine, architecture, law etc. Thus the college have responsive programmes that are relevant and responsive in areas of learning, knowledge and skills that Provide world class programme in partnership with institutions of excellence nationally and internationally.

In order to give the youth access to our TVET College, the government has made funds available in the form of bursaries to qualifying students that are in need of financial assistance and are able to demonstrate potential for academic success. The Department of Education TVET College bursary scheme assists students or intending to enrol at TVET Colleges for National Certificate Vocational (NCV) programmes, but who are unable to fund their studies. Application Date: Application for admission to the various courses available in the college is open throughout the year.
Central Johannesburg TVET College offers variety of national accredited courses and skills programmes. The College offers the following national accredited courses:
- National Certificate Vocational (NCV)
- National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (NATED)
All courses offered in the CJC are under the following fields of study; Engineering Studies, Business Studies Humanities and ICT.
