Alexander City State Junior College (ACSJC) and Nunnelley State Technical College were merged as a result of the board vote (NSTC).

 

Prior to amalgamation, on May 3, 1963, the State Legislature passed Act No. 93, which founded Alexander City State Junior College. While several organizations and individuals contributed to the College’s location in Alexander City, Russell Mills, Inc. donated the $750,000 property site. On September 30, 1965, the first classes were held in the old Russell Hospital, with a total enrollment of 442 freshmen.

Child Development

The Child Development Short-Term Certificate program offers background knowledge of all stages of child growth and development; training and practical experience in conducting all types of learning activities with children, knowledge and application of techniques in positive guidance and discipline, health, safety, and first aid practices, and basic knowledge of the state minimum standards for day care centres and homes.

This program is offered in an online format.

 

Central Alabama Community College Application For Admission Requirements 2023-2024

Admission requirements and procedures may change without prior notice, Please check with Health Sciences Division and/or website for updates. In addition to the general admission requirements of the College, admission to the Associate Degree Nursing program requires:

  • Unconditional admission to the College.
  • A minimum of 2.5 GPA for nursing required academic core courses.
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA or higher at the current institution.
  • Transfer students must enter CACC with a clear academic status (cumulative 2.0 GPA).
  • Official transcripts were sent to CACC admissions from ALL post-secondary institutions attended, along with high school transcripts.
  • Eligibility for English 101, Math 100 and Biology 201.
  • Official score on ACT National or Residual with a minimum composite score of 18 OR a minimum score of 58 on the TEAS test.

All scores must be 3 years or newer from the application deadline date.

  • Submission of a completed application for the ADN Program before the deadline.

 

Central Alabama Community College Application Process For Admission 2023-2024

Follow the following steps to apply to Central Alabama Community College for the 2023 academic season:

Step 1: Submit an application for admission.

Admissions applications must be completed by all prospective students. Guidelines for presenting suitable identity documents with your application can be found here.

Step 2: Submit an official transcript request

Official documents are necessary to complete your admission file. Please keep in mind that if the required document is a high school transcript, the transcript must indicate the date of graduation. Official transcripts can be mailed or emailed to escripts@cacc.edu (through eScrip, Credentials, or the National Clearinghouse). Scanned PDF copies will not be accepted.

 

Step 3: Submit a Financial Aid Application

www.fafsa.gov is a website where you can apply for financial aid. 001007 is the CACC code. By the priority deadline, submit all financial aid criteria. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Financial Aid Office at financial aid@cacc.edu.

 

Step 4 – Check out scholarships

Apply at www.cacc.edu/scholarships. Scholarship applicants are required to complete a FASFA application.

 

Step 5: Meet all of the testing requirements (if applicable) If the following prerequisites in English and Mathematics are not met, first-time degree-seeking students may be forced to take the placement test:
