Central Johannesburg TVET College Online Nsfas Application 2023

Central Johannesburg TVET College has made it possible for its students to apply for Nsfas bursaries to support them in their education journey. Starting from the 2nd of November 2022, the Nsfas application window for the 2023 academic year will be open. All South African students who have been enrolled in Central Johannesburg TVET College can apply for the funds.

The Nsfas application for 2023 will be closing on the 7th of February 2023. Applications that will be submitted after the application deadline will be rejected. It is therefore urged to apply now while the applications are still open.

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme NSFAS was established in terms of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (Act 56 of 1999) to provide financial aid to eligible students at public TVET colleges and public universities. NSFAS bursaries are available but they are not guaranteed – even to students who are deemed financially needy. NSFAS will be liable for full payments of applicants’ tuition fees during the period of study.

The 2023 online application window for Nsfas will be open from the 28th of September 2022 and the application will be closing on the 7th of February 2023 for Central Johannesburg Tvet College. There may be no date extension for this year, therefore applicants must apply within the  Nsfas application given date.

 

Who qualifies for Central Johannesburg TVET College Nsfas Bursary For 2023

  • Be a  South African citizen.
  • Be a Registered or intend to register for NCV or NATED (Report 191) Programme
  • Persons in need of financial support.
  • Academically good students who need financial support.

 

Central Johannesburg TVET College Nsfas Application Requirements

The following documents are needed for NSFAS Application;

  • Valid cellphone number and email address
  • Copy of an Identity Document or birth certificate
  • Valid Identity Document copies of parents, guardians or spouse
  • Proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable)
  • Parents, guardians or spouse’s proof of income
  • If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
  • Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form, click here to download
  • An applicant who is recognized as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form

Steps to follow:

  • Step 1: Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  • Step 2: Create a myNSFAS account
  • Step 3: Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab and answer the questions on the screen
  • Step 4: Upload the required supporting documents then click on ‘submit’
