No matter what degree or certificate program you are looking to complete, the college is eager to help you get enrolled. But first, they’ve got good news! In addition to many other financial aid options, AUM awards automatic scholarships to freshmen based on either ACT scores or High School GPA.

There are  numerous ways to be admitted to AUM, whether you are a traditional high school student, looking to go back to college after several years or looking to transfer from another institution. No matter your circumstances, Auburn University at Montgomery want to make this as easy as possible.

Who Can Apply For Auburn University at Montgomery for 2025-2026

  • Transfer students with fewer than 24 hours of course work must meet freshman admission requirements.
  • Even if you do not fully meet all the requirements for admission to AUM, you may still find a home here through our Bridge Program. This program is designed for students who meet specific academic criteria in order to enroll them in courses structured to prepare them for full admission.
  • High school students who want to earn simultaneous high school and college credit can apply to be a part of our Dual Enrollment program.

If you do not meet the undergraduate admissions requirements above, AUM offers alternative admission programs for qualified students:

 Application Process For Auburn University at Montgomery Admission 2025-2026

Apply to Auburn University At Montgomery in three simple steps:

Fill Out The Online Application: It’s easy and it’s free. You will need to create an account if you are visiting the page for the first time. Create the account using your email address, and provide a  unique password.

Submit Your ACT/SAT Scores: You can have the testing agency submit your test scores directly to AUM, or you can submit your scores yourself. It is important that you use AUM’s College Board (CEEB) codes: SAT — 1036, ACT — 0057.

Have Your High School Send Your Official Transcript: Ask your high school guidance counsellor to submit your official transcript to AUM. It’s ok if you haven’t graduated yet, though they will need to submit your official four-year transcript once you graduate. If you have attended any other colleges or universities, or earned dual credits, ask the registrar to send us those official transcripts to this address:

The Admissions Process for freshmen

The first step is to apply for admission, and we’re here to help you with that.

  • Check out the Auburn application checklist, deadlines, and prerequisites, as well as all you need to know to make the process simple and stress-free.
  • If you are a current high school senior or recent high school graduate who has never attended college, you will apply as a freshman applicant.

How to Apply;

We recognize COVID-19’s unique circumstances and remain committed to delivering a flexible and deliberate procedure.

  • For first-year students starting in Fall 2025, Auburn University has extended the test-flexible option.
  • The majority of your freshman admissions decisions are based on your high school courses, grades, and academic rigor.
  • While standardized test scores are encouraged, they are not needed for consideration for admission or scholarships.

Without a test score, you can apply.

Students who were allowed to take a standardized test in the past can still use their scores in the admissions process.

  • Applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.6 who are unable to take the test will be evaluated holistically through our test-optional approach.
  • Admission is also available to any valedictorian or salutatorian from an accredited Alabama high school with 50 or more graduates.

 

Traditional Applicants: What You’ll Need

  • Completed and submitted the application for admission.
  • Paid the $50 application fee which is non-refundable.
  • The testing agency’s official ACT/SAT test results.
  • A copy of your high school transcript must be uploaded (s).

 

Test-optional

  • Submitted Admission Application (those who were unable to acquire a test and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.6)
  • Paid the $50 application fee which is non-refundable.
  • A copy of your high school transcript must be uploaded (s).

Note: Fee waivers are available to applicants who qualify for an ACT/SAT waiver, NACAC fee waiver, or free or reduced meal program credentials.

  • Please download and complete the Freshman Cost Waiver Form to request an application fee waiver.

  • We look for people who have the highest chance of succeeding and who can live up to the Auburn Creed.

The ideal candidate will have earned a GPA in high school that is at or above our middle 50%, exhibited academic distinction, and engaged in a demanding curriculum.

  • SAT:1170-1300
  • Average GPA: 3.94

Academic Excellence

The major criterion for assessing academic readiness will be your high school transcript.

By the end of their senior year of high school, each freshman applicant must have completed the following core academic requirements:

  • English for four years
  • Social studies for three years
  • Three years of math, which includes Algebra I and II, as well as Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Analysis.
  • Two years of science with a laboratory component, encompassing biology and physics.

In addition to evaluating core classes, Auburn will consider high school grade point average (GPA), ACT and/or SAT scores, and high school rigor.

Transcript evaluation utilizes a 4.0 scale. (A = 4 points, B = 3 points, C = 2 points, D= 1 point, F = 0 points).

 

Holistic Review Factors

We choose our freshman class based on an assessment that involves a comprehensive examination of your academic performance.

 

The following are some of the things we looked at in our review:

  • Your weighted and unweighted grade point average from 9th to 11th grade.
  • The grades you received in core curriculum classes.
  • The classes you intend to take in 12th grade.
  • Your academic performance over time.
  • Academic performance has improved noticeably, as evidenced by an increase in GPA and the quality of courses finished or in progress.
  • The number of college preparatory, Advanced, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), honors, gifted, and transferable college courses you’ve taken, as well as your grades in those classes.
  • Your academic performance is relative to other applicants at your high school and the learning opportunities available in your high school.
  • Outstanding performance in one or more specific subject areas.
