Orbit TVET College Nsfas Funding Application 2023
NSFAS is a government entity under the Department of Higher Education and Training established according to the NSFAS Act (Act 56 of 1999) to provide financial support to disadvantaged students who wish to further their studies at public universities or TVET colleges of which Orbit Tvet college happens to be one of them.
The 2023 online application for Nsfas is currently open to students who just got admitted or are already studying at Orbit Tvet College to apply. The Nsfas helps the student to pay for their registration fees, tuition fees, transport, and accommodation and also provides some allowances. The application date opens on the 28th of September 2022 and closes on the 7th of January 2023.

Students who want to benefit from the Nsfas scheme for 2023 should begin their applications from September 28 2022 to January 7 2023. Applications that will be submitted after the application deadline will be denied or rejected.

Who qualifies for Orbit TVET College Nsfas Funding Application
- South African citizens
- SASSA grant recipients
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per year
- Persons with disability whose combined household income is not more than R600 000 per year.
- Applicants who first registered at university before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per year.

Documentation needed for Orbit TVET College Nsfas Application:
- Valid e-mail address
- Valid cellphone number
- Certified copy of birth certificate/identity document
- Certified copy of most recent academic results
- Certified copy of proof of residential address of parents/guardian or municipal account
- Certified copy of identity document of parent/guardian
- The stamps on all certified documents should not be older than 3 months

- Proof of marital status of married divorced or widowed
- Parents/guardian(s) ID
- The ID of each family member in a household
- Salary slips of both parents/guardian(s) or affidavit stating income(s).
- Proof of residential address of parent/guardian(s).
- If parents/guardians are deceased – supply a death certificate
- Statement of results of new students
- Proof of residential and study address.
