James H Faulkner State Community College Admission Application 2024-2025

Applicants who are willing to apply for the 2024-2025 academic year in a college can now go ahead to submit their applications to the James H. Faulkner state community college because the college is currently open for admission. Applicants who want to study in the spring semester for the 2024 academic year are to apply before the application deadline which is on the 5th of April 2024.

All students who apply to Faulkner University must be of good character and must be willing to respect and uphold the values and ideals of the University, including conforming to its code of conduct. Faulkner reserves the right to deny admission to anyone whose previous actions could be interpreted to mean they are not of good character or that they will not respect and uphold the values and ideals of the University, including its code of conduct

The transfer applicant applying to James H. Faulkner State Community College 2023 must not be under suspension for any reason from another College. Official transcripts from all schools attended, including high school, must be received directly from the institution by Faulkner University. Copies of transcripts issued to students are not acceptable.

James H Faulkner State Community College Admission Requirements 2024-2025

To gain admission to Faulkner University, freshmen applicants must have on file the following:

Freshmen Applicants

  • Application for Admission – Students may apply online or request a paper application.
  • $25.00 Application Fee – All applications must be accompanied by a $25 application fee (non-refundable).
  • ACT or SAT score – Applicants must submit official copies of their ACT or SAT scores.
  • High School Transcript – Applicants must request that an official copy of their high school transcripts be sent directly to the Admissions Office.

Note: To reserve your space in the incoming class, a $200 tuition deposit is required. Deposits are not refundable after May 1.

 

Transfer Applicants

To gain admission to Faulkner University, transfer (with at least 24 hours of transferable credit) applicants must have on file the following:

  • Application for Admission – Students may apply online or request a paper application.
  • $25.00 Application Fee – All applications must be accompanied by a $25 application fee (non-refundable).
  • Transcripts – Applicants must request all official transcripts sent by the registrar of each college/university previously attended.

Note: To reserve your space in the incoming class, a $200 tuition deposit is required. Deposits are not refundable after May 1.

Steps in the Admissions Procedure for Traditional Programs:

Application form

  • Students may apply online or request a paper application.

Fees

  • All applications must be accompanied by a $25 application fee (non-refundable).

Transcripts

  • Applicants must request that official copies of their high school transcripts be sent directly to the Admissions Office. Transfer students must also have official transcripts sent by the registrar of each college/university previously attended.

ACT or SAT score

  • Due to challenges related to COVID-19, admission requirements have been temporarily adjusted for undergraduate applicants. Faulkner will be test-optional for 2024 meaning an applicant can pursue admission with or without ACT, SAT, or CLT scores.
    ACT & SAT Scores are still being accepted to assist with accurate class placement for incoming students and certain scholarship opportunities. Please refer to the General Admissions of 2023 for information regarding its use in admission acceptance or contact your Admissions Counselor

 Application Process for Dual Enrollment for High School Students 2024/2025

Qualified high school students may enroll in approved university classes, concurrently with their high school enrollment. To qualify, a student must be at least a high school sophomore, have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or an ACT composite score of 22, and must submit a letter of recommendation from a high school counselor, principal, or home school covering leader.

 

Admission Process For Transfer Students

Faulkner University admits students who wish to transfer from other accredited Colleges and Universities. The transfer applicant must not be under suspension for any reason from another College.  Official transcripts from all schools attended, including high school, must be received directly from the institution by Faulkner University. Copies of transcripts issued to students are not acceptable.
The specific information on the transfer of credits may be found in the Transfer Credit section of the undergraduate catalog. Prospective transferees should contact the Admissions Office for assistance in facilitating a smooth transfer.

 

Admission Process For Transient Students

Transient status is available to students regularly enrolled, and in good standing, at other colleges and universities who desire to attend Faulkner University for one term. A transient student application may be obtained from the Registrar’s Office of the institution in which the student is regularly enrolled.
This form must state that the student is in good standing and has permission from the other school to study as a transient student at Faulkner.

Do you need financial assistance, apply for aid by following the process below:

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or apply using the new myStudentAid app for iOS and Android. ( Be sure to include Faulkner University’s school code, 001003, as one of your college choices in Step 6).
  • Take advantage of the IRS Data Retrieval Tool on the FAFSA website, if applicable.
  • Complete the Entrance Counseling
  • Complete the Annual Student Loan Acknowledgement Form
  • Complete the Subsidized/Unsubsidized Master Promissory Note (MPN)
  • If you have been a resident of Alabama for the past 12 months, complete the Alabama State Grant Program Application.
  • Complete the Federal Work-Study Application
  • Complete the Student Loan Information Sheet
  • Complete the Financial Aid Award Notification
