Jacksonville State University Admission Application 2023-2024

Admissions to the 2023-2024 academic year are now open to all prospective students, returning students and other students who are transferring from other universities to JSU  to apply to gain admission to study at the University.  Applicants who are applying for the Fall 2023 semester are to apply from August 15, 2022 – August 1, 2023 (Fall 2023 Preferred Admissions Application Period).

JSU is test-optional for freshman admission through Fall 2023 applicants, meaning ACT/SAT scores are not required for admission. Students will be evaluated for admission based on their high school grade point average (GPA). Although test scores are not required, JSU recommends students send test scores each time they take an exam. Test scores can be used for admission into specific academic programs, placement into courses, and for some scholarships.

GPA will be taken from the high school transcript which must be completed through the Junior Year. Students will be provisionally admitted until the final high school transcript has been received by the Admissions Office. Once the final transcript has been received, the GPA will be reviewed again and must meet the required minimum for admission.
