In keeping with the philosophy that the capabilities of each individual should be developed, Wallace Community College Selma operates under an “open door” admissions policy. This policy grants admission to entering freshmen, transfer students, transient students, dual enrolled students, international students, ability-to-benefit, as well as any student seeking readmission.
Interested applicants are to submit their application through the application portal of the college before the deadline for application. Prior to the submission of applications, applicants are to submit all the required documents as demanded by the college to authenticate their application.

George Corley Wallace State Community College – Selma Application Deadline Admission 2023-2024
High School Graduates
- Applicants who have not previously attended any regionally accredited post-secondary institutions will be considered first-time college students or “native” students. As early as possible, prior to the semester in which they plan to enrol, applicants must complete and submit the appropriate online Admission Application for new students.
Non-High School Graduates
- Non-high school graduates or non-GED recipients seeking admission may only enrol in an eligible career pathway program.
- Non-high school graduates or non-GED recipients who are admitted to an Alabama Community College System institution must be able to benefit from instructional training as indicated by the attainment of at least minimum scores on an approved academic assessment.
Readmission Students
- Individuals who previously attended Wallace Community College Selma and who seek to return after an absence of one semester or more(excluding the summer term) must submit an application for readmission, comply with current admissions requirements, and supply transcripts of all academic work taken since last attending WCCS.

George Corley Wallace State Community College – Selma Application Requirements Admission 2023-2024
For admission to Wallace Community College Selma an applicant must provide (notarized copies, if submitted by mail):
- an unexpired Alabama driver’s license;
- an unexpired Alabama identification card;
- an unexpired U.S. passport;
- an unexpired U.S. permanent resident card;
- unexpired Driver’s License or instruction permit from another state dated 2000 and beyond;
- U. S. Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-151) prior to 1978;
- BIA or tribal identification card with photo; or
- a 797 Form with an expiration date.
All male students between the ages of 18 and 26 must register with the U.S. Selective Service System prior to enrolling in any state institution of higher education. You can register at www.sss.gov.

Returning Students:
Individuals who previously attended Wallace Community College Selma and who seek to return after an absence
of one semester or more (excluding the summer term) must:
- Submit a Readmission Application, complying with current admissions requirements
- Supply transcripts of all academic work taken since last attending WCCS.
George Corley Wallace State Community College – Selma Tuition Fees 2023-2024
Tuition and fees are subject to change All tuition and fees are due before the first day of class. Fees may be paid with cash or a check in the cashier’s office. The cashier’s office does not accept debit/credit. Debit/credit cards and e-checks will need to be paid on MY WALLACE SELMA. There is a non-refundable $25.00 late fee for late registration.

Follow the process below to apply to the GCWACC as a Freshman, returning and a transfer for 2023-2024:
- Submit a WCCS Online Application.
- Submit one primary form of documentation such as an unexpired Alabama driver’s license;
- an unexpired Alabama identification card;
- an unexpired U.S. passport;
- an unexpired U.S. permanent resident card;
- unexpired Driver’s License or instruction permit from another state dated 2000 and beyond;
- U. S. Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-151) prior to 1978;
- BIA or tribal identification card with photo; or an I- 797 Form with an expiration date. The ID can be sent to admissions.records@wccs.ed.
- Submit High School or GED Official Transcript. The student will be allowed to register for one semester with an unofficial transcript.

Note:
Failure to provide documentation by the end of the first semester, will prevent a student from future registration and releasing your official or unofficial transcript.
