What Does The Buffalo City Tvet College Nsfas Cover For Buffalo City Tvet College?

Buffalo City Tvet College students are covered by Nsfas in the following areas:

  • Accommodation in an urban area is R24,000 per annum
  • Accommodation in a peri-urban area is R18,900 per annum
  • Accommodation in a rural area is R15,750 per annum
  • Transport (up to 40 km from the institution) R7,350  per annum
  • Transport R7000 per annum
  • Incidental/personal care allowance R2900 per annum

Buffalo City College NSFAS Application Eligibility 2026-2027

To be eligible for NSFAS as a Buffalo City TVET College 2026-2027, an applicant must be:

  • You qualify for an NSFAS bursary if you are a South African citizen who plans to study in 2026, or you are already studying at a public university or TVET college.
  • South African citizens or permanent residents
  • SASSA grant recipients

Buffalo City College NSFAS Application Requirements 2026-2027

The following documents are needed for the Online NSFAS Application 2026;

Students must download the NSFAS 2026 Consent form:

  • NSFAS reserves the right to validate all information and details provided by the applicant and parent/guardian/spouse against an independent third-party data source.

Students must download the NSFAS Declaration form:

  • This form only applies to applicants who are 34 years old or younger. This form is used to verify parental/guardian details.

Students with disabilities must provide:

  • A completed and signed Disability Annexure Form. Please ensure that the medical report is merged with this disability annexure when you create a file to submit with your application.

Students must download the NSFAS Orphan or Vulnerable Child Declaration form:

  • This form is only to be completed by applicants who are under the age of 18 and who are orphans OR who are vulnerable children in that they have been exposed to abuse, neglect, exploitation, risk of violence and substance abuse.

  • Retrenchment letter
  • Death certificate/s
  • Divorce Decree
  • Proof of legal guardianship
  • Marriage certificate
