Bevill State Community College is an accredited, learning-centered institution dedicated to student success by providing quality education and training opportunities that enrich lives intellectually, economically, and culturally. The college is open for freshmen applicants, transfer applicants, international applicants and all that are ready to enroll with the college for the 2024 academic year. The application deadline for the spring semester of 2024 is on  December 1.

Distance Education

  • Bevill State Community College has taken the initiative to address the enormous impact that technology is having on higher education. This initiative involves the application of varied strategies that deliver education to students who are in a different location other than that of the instructor. Three distinct approaches to distance education have been implemented by the College:

Web-Based Instruction

  • In order to achieve the goal of providing convenient courses to students at any time or place, the College offers web-based instruction. Students interested in enrolling in internet courses should visit the Online Courses section to obtain information concerning equipment/software and course requirements.

Hybrid Courses

  • Hybrid courses combine in-class lectures with web-based assignments. Time in class is reduced and is replaced with web-based assignments that are required to complete the course. Students must come to class as scheduled for lectures and exams, complete web-based assignments, and work with others to complete group assignments or projects.

Bevill State Community College Admission Requirements 2024-2025

All applicants must submit their online application in person or a legible copy sent via US mail, or email to the Office of Student Services one primary form of identification. The list below is the document that needs to be submitted by everyone applying for admission at Bevill Community college 2024:

  • Unexpired Alabama driver’s license or instruction permit
  • Unexpired Alabama identification card
  • Unexpired U.S. passport
  • Unexpired U.S. permanent resident card
  • Resident Alien card prior to 1997
  • Unexpired Driver’s License or instruction permit from another state or possession that verifies lawful presence, dated 2000 and beyond
  • U.S. Alien Registration Receipt card (Form I-151) prior to 1978
  • BIA or Tribal identification card with photo
  • I-797 form with an expiration date

Students seeking admission to Bevill State should follow these steps:

STEP 1: Submit Your Application

  • Students seeking admission to Bevill State should complete a Bevill State application for admission online.  A valid email account is required to complete the online application process.  You will need to be able to access your email account to set up your initial admissions account.

STEP 2: Submit your Photo ID within your application

All applicants must submit in their online application, in person or a legible copy sent via US mail, or email to the Office of Student Services one primary form of identification, examples are listed below:

Contact your high school/all colleges you attended and request official transcripts be sent to the Bevill State campus you will be attending. Offical high school transcripts must include your graduation date.

STEP 4: Schedule a Placement Test, if necessary

Contact the Office of Student Services to schedule an appointment for the placement test. It is designed to evaluate an individual’s math, reading, and writing skills. The exam is used to determine the appropriate English and Math courses a student should be enrolled in to help them achieve academic success.

Bevill State Community College Application For Financial Aid For 2023-2024

In case there is financial difficulty in paying for your education at Bevill community college, don’t worry at all, Bevill has made it possible fodr its students to apply for students financial aid. Follow the below process to apply:

Step 1

  • Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at StudentAid.gov to apply for grants and work-study.  The completion of this form does not guarantee you will receive aid.
  • You will need your (and your parents if dependent) Federal tax returns from 2019 and all other sources of income to complete the FAFSA.
  • It is highly recommended to use the IRS Data Retrieval tool on the FAFSA.
  • Be sure to list Bevill State Community College (Federal school code 005733) in step 6 of the FAFSA as a college to receive your information.

Step 2

  • Apply for admissions
  • All official transcripts (college, high school or GED) must be on file in admissions.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to review their OneACCS account to see any additional requests.

Step 3

  • The FAFSA application is sent electronically to the school from the Federal Government generally 3 to 5 days after the student submits the application.
  • Once the school has received the FAFSA information, the student will receive an email with information on how to submit any missing or required documents.
  • The student’s eligibility to receive financial aid will be determined after all required documents have been submitted and reviewed.
