Will Tvet Colleges Receive Laptops: As part of the government’s mission to ensure that challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic do not affect teaching and learning at higher education and training institutions, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, directed NSFAS to procure learning devices for students to ensure that the blended learning methodology is realised. The NSFAS Digital Learning Device Programme was then introduced. Will Tvet Colleges Receive Laptops
YES, NSFAS-funded students at TVET colleges: You must be a continuing student who was registered in 2020 and is currently registered to study in 2021. The NSFAS Digital Learning Device Project allows students who are receiving financial aid from the organization to apply to have a laptop purchased with money from their learning material allocation bursary. The Digital Learning Device Project will increase students’ access to online learning opportunities. Here are some frequently asked concerns about the NSFAS laptop program that we’d like to address, including who is eligible, whether there is a cost to obtain one, how to apply, when and where you’ll receive one, and how to apply.
Who Qualifies For NSFAS Laptop?
Students who have been approved to receive NSFAS funding are those who are eligible to get NSFAS laptops. This means, applying for NSFAS does not qualify you for the laptop but you need to be approved for that matter. Again, getting study admission at a public university or TVET College does not mean you meet the requirements for the NSFAS laptop.

Students Will Need The Following Document To Apply:
- South African ID number
- Student number
- Contact details

- Home address
THE STEPS FOR PLACING AN ORDER ONLINE?
- Click here to visit the NSFAS website.
- Select “myNSFAS” on the top right of the screen.
- Tap on “Click to order your NSFAS Laptop Online”.
- Fill in your ID number and all the other information required.
How To Collect Your Laptop
Once the verification process is complete, an order for your laptop will be placed with our service providers to dispatch the device for delivery. Once your laptop is ready, you will be called by the laptop service provider or your institution to arrange collection/delivery.
Remember, once you are contacted for the delivery and collection of the device, no one can receive/collect the laptop on your behalf, you must be present and also sign before it is handed over to you.

Laptop Payment
Non-NSFAS-funded students who require a device should consult their institutions as they will remain responsible for the payment of the device and must therefore agree to the payment terms as defined by the institution.
