What Do I Need To Apply For TVET?

All applicants starting a new qualification are required to upload the following certified documents:

  • Certificates/Qualifications.
  • Recent Academic Results.
  • Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
  • A valid study permit (Foreign national students)

Do I Qualify To Study At A TVET College?

In order to apply to study at a TVET college, you will have to have successfully completed grade 9 and be at least 16 years old. (Some of the qualifications have more subject-specific requirements than those offered at a grade 9 level.) This means that you are able to study at a TVET college without a conventional matric so that you can start working towards a specific career from the age of 16 and enter the workforce at a younger age.

How to Apply Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College

  1. All new applicants must complete the Placement Screening Test before applying. We will not process applications without doing a placement screening test first.
  2. You can apply online by visiting the College Online Application portal
  3. Applicants can also visit the school to book an online application session.
  4. Applicants can apply for NSFAS Funding or can search for other available bursaries.
  5. You can use either your smartphone, tablet or computer to apply online via the student i-Enabler, using your PIN and student number to log on
  6. Applicants should apply for admission for the current level and the next level of your application
  7. Make sure you upload all the required documents and pay the necessary fees.
