Undergraduate Requirements

Undergraduate students at UCF must meet several requirements in order to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree:

GEP

The purposes of the UCF General Education Program (GEP) are to introduce students to a broad range of human knowledge and intellectual pursuits, to equip them with the analytic and expressive skills required to engage in those  pursuits, to develop their ability to think critically, and to prepare them for life-long learning

Civic Literacy

An undergraduate degree requirement mandating that students demonstrate competency in civic literacy.

Gordon Rule

Undergraduate students must complete a certain number of Gordon Rule writing and math courses.

Multidisciplinary Requirement

All students completing their first bachelor’s degree from UCF must complete at least one course that explores the diverse backgrounds and characteristics found among humans, including: race/ethnicity, gender, social class/caste, religion, age, sexual orientation and level of physical ability.
