Lecturer Position

We are seeking a Lecturer to join our department and teach a range of courses. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant field and possess experience teaching at the university level.

Lecturer Duties:

• Prepare weekly and monthly class notes
• Monitor and evaluate student activities and performance
• Create learning objectives
• Develop assignments and lesson plans
• Maintain classroom control and ensure a safe learning environment
• Provide constructive feedback to students
• Oversee classroom activities, facilities, and equipment
• Develop and administer tests
•  Create and modify course materials
• Meet with students individually, in small groups, or in groups
• Train and coach other teachers or faculty as needed
• Evaluate students’ coursework and progress
• Develop and implement assessment strategies
• Establish and maintain classroom policies and procedures
• Enforce school policies and regulations
• Provide feedback to instructors, staff, students, and administrators to enhance teaching effectiveness

Lecturer Responsibilities:

• Lead lectures for various classes, including on-site instruction and classroom teaching
• Develop, create, and deliver lectures and presentations
• Plan and implement learning goals for students
• Maintain and improve student evaluations
• Engage students in discussions, active learning, and lab activities
• Conduct assessments to gauge student understanding and monitor progress
• Utilize technology effectively in the classroom and for online and blended courses
• Meet with prospective students, parents, and donors
• Requirements and Skills:
• Proven experience teaching vocational, technical, or similar college-level courses
• Excellent ability to design and deliver engaging and impactful instruction
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Strong ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty and staff
