The Mnambithi Tvet College is one of the registered Tvet Colleges in South Africa which operates under the Department of Higher Education. Currently, the college is open for admission for the 2026-2027 academic year which means that prospective students who have passed their high school with grades 9-12 and returning students can now apply to the college for admission.
Mnambithi TVET College offers Report 191 (Nated Courses) from Engineering Courses N1 – N6, Business Studies N4 – N6, Utility Studies N4 – N6, and Short Skills Courses. The college is positioned to service mostly the rural communities of Bergville, Estcourt, Msinga, Pomeroy, Greytown, Mooi River, and Ladysmith and its catchment area. This positioning can be regarded both as advantageous and also as limiting.

The Mnambithi TVET College management has announced that the application date is open for the 2026/2027 academic year. From the 1st of September, the college will start receiving applications from applicants across the globe, irrespective of colour, ethnicity, family background, etc. The application window for Mnambithi TVET College 2026/2027 will be closed on the 30th of September, therefore, applicants are urged to apply within the application period.

Mnambithi TVET College Online Application Requirements 2026-2027
The following are the documents needed when applying and registering. admission at Mnambithi Tvet College:
- A certified copy of your ID.
- A certified copy of your latest school report/qualification.
- Students not qualifying for a bursary must deposit 25% of their fees on registration.
- Students not qualifying for a bursary must complete and sign a student fee contract (person responsible for payment of the tuition fees).
- Students qualifying for a bursary must have a provisional bursary acceptance letter or Placement letter.
Returning Students
- A copy of your ID
- Results/history enrollment form
- A deposit of 25% for students not qualifying for a bursary, plus a student fee contract
- Or provisional approved bursary letter.
First-Time Applications: 1st Time Students
- The original copy of your ID.
- The original copy of your latest school report/qualification.
- R100 application fee.
- Complete the placement assessment.

Applicants who are applying to the college should follow the steps provided below:
Step 1: Complete the Career Guidance Exploration
Begin by completing the Career Guidance Exploration to help you identify the career path that best suits your interests and goals. You may explore different careers and return later to continue with Step 2 or Step 3 if needed. Remember to keep your username and password safe so you can log in again at any time.
Step 2: Take the Pre-Entry Placement Assessment
Next, log back into the Profiler System and complete the Pre-Entry Placement Assessment. When registering for the first time, click “First Time Here?” and complete everything in the “Pre-Entry Information” folder. Open each section and complete all the screening questions, even if you are unsure of some answers. Make sure to click “Finish” at the end of every assessment. Keep your username and password stored safely. If your internet connection drops, you can log in again under “Returning User” and continue where you left off. If you lose your login details, you can reset them under the same “Returning User” option.
Step 3: Complete the Online Application
After completing the placement screening, proceed to the Online Application section and upload all the required documents in PDF format. This step is very important because your application cannot be processed without it. Make sure your documents are ready before uploading them.
Important Notes About the Placement Test:
- The placement screening is compulsory for all applicants.
- You may still choose your own course, but you will need to sign an acknowledgement if your choice differs from your placement results.
- You can view and save your placement report after completing the test.
- Do not forget to fill out the online application form on the college website.
- Follow all instructions carefully and answer honestly.
- Do not let anyone else complete the test for you, as this could lead to incorrect course recommendations and poor performance in future studies.
