The Lurleen College is ready to accept students for the 2025-2026 academic year. The College offers opportunities for learning and growth by offering technical and academic instructions and cultural enrichments. On January 23, 2003 the Alabama State Board Of Education took official action to join Lurleen B. Wallace Junior College and MacArthur State Technical College. The U.s.s Education recognized the two colleges as a single institution in January 2004.
There were four buildings on campus: the George C. Wallace Administration Building, three shop buildings and the George C. Wallace Administration Building. Six further buildings were added to the campus during the next few years. Gaines Ray Jeffcoat Building, Vernon L. St. John Building, Henry R. Donaldson-Bennie Foreman Building, E. Claude Nevin Building, an electronics building, and the Student Center were among the structures.
LBWCC Application Procedure for Admission 2025-2026 For Freshman
A first-year college student must complete one of the following:
In addition, the following items must be present:
a completed LBWCC Application for Admission; an acceptable form of identification; applicants claiming in-state tuition status must also submit documentation of Alabama residency (such as an Alabama driver’s license) with an email copy to admissions@lbwcc.edu; all male students aged 18 to 26 must have registered with the United States Selective Service System.
Applicants who meet the requirements specified above are considered “degree eligible.”
LBWCC Application for Admission 2025-2026 Programs
Students who earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree are prepared to transition to four-year schools and universities. The Math and Science Division, the Language, Humanities, and Fine Arts Division, and the Business, IT, and Social Science Division all provide courses for the A.A. and A.S. Students pursuing an A.A. or A.S. degree should choose a major and transfer institution early in their college careers and check the Statewide Transfer and Articulation Reporting System (STARS) Guide at http://stars.troy.edu before enrolling in coursework. The STARS Guide is designed to help students avoid losing credit when they transfer to Alabama’s public four-year schools and institutions.

Lurleen B. Wallace Community College offers a number of programs that prepare students for careers in applied technologies and advanced manufacturing. To ensure that students are prepared to enter the workforce as successful practitioners in their field, all programs include classroom and laboratory components. Workforce Development Programs Application
Residents of Butler, Covington, and Crenshaw counties can take advantage of a variety of programs, services, and training opportunities through the Workforce Development Department. The Adult Education and Workforce Development Division’s mission is to provide high-quality educational programs and services to fulfil the community’s increasing personal and professional development needs, particularly those of local company and industry employees.
The Workforce Development Department offers a wide range of courses, workshops, programs, and other activities geared on speedy skill growth, professional development, and personal enrichment. Despite the fact that these courses are non-credit and do not lead to a college diploma, each finished class receives a certificate. On campus, off campus, and in the workplace, these short-term personal and professional development courses are available.

Lurleen B. Wallace Community College Provides Financial Aid for Students with Financial needs;
You may be entitled to have your financial aid amended if your or your family’s financial status has changed considerably from what is represented on your federal income tax, which you used to complete your FAFSA (for example, you have lost a job or otherwise suffered a decline in income).
Complete the FAFSA questions as directed on the application (including the transfer of tax return and income information), submit your FAFSA form, and then contact the financial aid office to discuss your present status. It’s important to note that the school’s decision is final and cannot be overturned by the US Department of Education.

If you haven’t already created an FSA ID, create an FSA ID first. Both the student and parent must sign the application. Once you have created an FSA ID, click Apply and log in using your FSA ID.
Make sure you list Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (Federal School Code – 008988) in the “Schools Section” of the FAFSA. Failure to list our Federal School Code will result in a delay in the processing of your application.
If you choose to use the paper FAFSA application, you must call 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243) and request a paper application be mailed to you. The paper application must be completed using 2017 income information. This form must be signed and mailed to the federal processing centre in the envelope provided with the application. Both the student and parent must sign the application.
Make sure that you have applied for admission or readmission to LBW Community College. For returning students, an application for readmission must be submitted if you have not attended LBWCC during the past two (2) terms. You must submit, a high school transcript and/or GED and all college transcripts to the admission office. All college transcripts must be evaluated before you can be awarded aid.
