Who Is Eligible To Purchase An NSFAS Laptop 2026 At TVET Colleges

If you want to receive an NSFAS laptop, you must:

Only students who are currently receiving NSFAS assistance are eligible to order the laptop.
Students must register to enrol in courses at a public university or TVET institution.
Students must sign the T&Cs while ordering the laptop.
Students are not permitted to own a laptop provided by their college or TVET.

Who Is Not Eligible To Get An NSFAS Laptop 2026/2027

The following candidates are ineligible to apply for the NSFAS Laptop:

Students are currently not receiving NSFAS funds
Students who have previously received a laptop from their colleges
The package that comes with a student’s enrolment includes a laptop.
College students who ordered laptops but did not agree to the T&Cs
Students in the TVET colleges’ first trimester

THE STEPS FOR PLACING AN ORDER ONLINE

Follow this process to place an order for a laptop online:

Click here to visit the NSFAS website.
Select “myNSFAS” on the top right of the screen.
Tap on “Click to order your NSFAS Laptop Online”.
Fill in your ID number and all the other information required.

How To Collect Your Laptop

Once the verification process is complete, an order for your laptop will be placed with our service providers to dispatch the device for delivery. Once your laptop is ready, you will be called by the laptop service provider or your institution to arrange collection/delivery.

Remember, once you are contacted for the delivery and collection of the device, no one can receive/collect the laptop on your behalf; you must be present and also sign before it is handed over to you.

Laptop Payment

Non-NSFAS-funded students who require a device should consult their institutions, as they will remain responsible for the payment of the device and must therefore agree to the payment terms as defined by the institution.
