Mastering the Waterberg TVET College NSFAS Application for 2026-2027:
Waterberg TVET College urges all qualifying students to make use of this opportunity to further their education without financial pressure.
Funds are indicated for accommodation, living allowance, transport and learning materials that need to be aligned with the approved latest DHET guidelines. The following is what the bursary pays for Waterberg TVET students:
- Accommodation in an urban area is R24,000 per annum
- Accommodation in a peri-urban area is R18,900 per annum
- Accommodation in a rural area is R15,750 per annum
- Transport (up to 40 km from the institution) R7,350 per annum
- Transport R7000 per annum
- Incidental/personal care allowance R2900 per annum
Who Is Eligible To Apply For NSFAS At Waterberg TVET College 2026-2027
The NSFAS is regulated by the Department of Higher Education and Training of South Africa, therefore, the bursary can be applied to the following categories of persons:
- All South African citizens
- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
Waterberg TVET College Nsfas Bursary Application Requirements 2026
Students with disabilities must provide:
- A completed and signed Disability Annexure Form. Please ensure that the medical report is merged with this disability annexure when you create a file to submit with your application.
*Students must download the NSFAS 2026 Consent form:
- NSFAS reserves the right to validate all information and details provided by the applicant and parent/guardian/spouse against an independent third-party data source.
Students must download the NSFAS Orphan or Vulnerable Child Declaration form:
- This form is only to be completed by applicants who are under the age of 18 and who are orphans OR who are vulnerable children in that they have been exposed to abuse, neglect, exploitation, risk of violence and substance abuse.
Students must download the NSFAS Declaration form:
- This form only applies to applicants who are 34 years old or younger. This form is used to verify parental/guardian details.
Other documents that may be required, if applicable:
- Retrenchment letter
- Death certificate/s
- Divorce Decree
- Proof of legal guardianship
- Marriage certificate
- Other documents may be required for appeal purposes, eg retrenchment letter
NB: Based on the application type, the system will generate a list of required documents for upload.
