All students are required to submit an application for admission, and supply the College with an official copy of their high school transcript or an official copy of their GED scores. Students transferring from another college must submit an admissions application and an official copy of their transcript(s) from each college they have attended.

Transient students must submit a transient letter from their home institution stating the courses that they will be allowed to take, in addition to an application for admission. The Office of Admissions will not issue copies of transcripts from other colleges or copies of high school transcripts to students.

Reid State Technical College is a two-year, degree-granting college dedicated to providing high-quality academic and technical education to students of all backgrounds and abilities. Reid State Technical College Application for Admission 2023 Procedure;

Applicants must either complete the online Application for Admission at www.rstc.edu or acquire a copy of the most recent application from the College’s Admissions Office. Applicants should send their application to Reid State Technical College’s Office of Admissions, P.O. Box 588, Evergreen, AL 36401, as soon as practicable before the semester in which they expect to attend.

Prior to final acceptance, all applicants must provide an official, sealed high school transcript or GED and college transcript(s). Send your application to Admissions, P.O. Box 588, Evergreen, AL 36401, or submit it electronically through Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse. Males between the ages of 18 and 26 must show proof of Selective Service registration as well as proof of in-state residency.

The preceding forms will be processed and approved or disapproved after they are received and properly completed, and the applicant will be advised of his or her admission status.

Unless the student scored 20 or higher on the ACT exam in Reading and Math, and 18 in English/Writing, all admitted students must take the ACCUPLACER placement exam or another placement exam before registering for more than four credit hours. The Testing Coordinator or www.rstc.edu can provide you with an exam schedule.

Selected programs are open to students who do not have a high school diploma or a GED. Prior to being admitted to the College, the student must pass the Ability-to-Benefit test. The Testing Coordinator or www.rstc.edu can provide you with a testing schedule.

For exceptions to standard admission scenarios, Reid State Technical College uses the ACCUPLACER Test as an assessment tool. Prior to getting admitted to the college, a student must achieve the following cut scores. The Testing office can provide information on testing locations and timetables.
