Lecturer – Business Studies

Requirements:

A minimum of a relevant recognized three-year qualification (REQV13).
Qualification in education and training specific to the relevant programme subjects.
At least 2 years of educational experience teaching in the relevant programme.
Experience in blended learning, including innovative teaching practices using educational technology.
SACE registration.
Proficiency in teaching in English.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Strong administrative skills.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to assess and moderate.
A valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements:

Experience in the TVET sector.
Registration as an Assessor/Moderator.
Multilingualism is an advantage.
Participation in Lecturer Workplace Experience.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for lecturing subjects within the Business Studies programme, which may include:

Entrepreneurship & Business Management N4
Marketing Management N4

Campus Manager: Stellenbosch Campus

Requirements:

An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification at REQV13 and a professional qualification in Education.
Five years of working experience in TVET institutional or departmental management.
A sound understanding of curriculum management, administration, and management of programme delivery.
Knowledge of prescripts governing the TVET sector, finance management, human resources, and labour relations.
Computer literacy.
Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a campus strategic plan.
Create an environment conducive to education and training.
Identify programme mix and manage the quality of curriculum implementation and campus performance.
Oversee the division of work among lecturing staff, monitor their performance, and build teaching capacity.
Implement an induction programme for new education and training staff and provide campus induction for all staff.
Provide budget input to the finance department and manage the allocated budget for education and training at the campus.
Manage education and training support programmes and functions for students at the campus.
Plan and implement personal well-being programmes for campus staff.
Manage the implementation of progressive disciplinary procedures for campus staff.
Oversee the compilation of the education and training timetables for the campus.
Assist with the initiation, management, and operationalization of academic industry linkages and partnerships.
Report on progress towards education and training targets to the Deputy Principal of Education and Training.
Oversee the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety procedures at the campus.

Note: A qualification in educational management or management will be an added advantage.
