Auburn University Application Deadline for Admission 2025-2026

Auburn University is currently accepting applications from freshmen(new applicants) and transfer students who are applying for admission with them. The 2025-2026 academic year is open to all no matter your race, colour, ethnicity, or financial background.

The University of Auban offers more than 150 full-time undergraduate programs offered at 12 universities. They pride themselves on having a range of nationally competitive programs taught by world-class faculty who regularly receive national awards and research grants for education and research.

Auburn University Application for Admission 2025-2026

For Summer and Fall 2025, admission decisions will be released in rounds. Early Action Decisions include rounds 1-4. To be considered for scholarships, you must have a complete applicant file by any of the early action decision rounds. The regular decision deadline is February 1. Early action decisions are non-binding.

Below are the application dates;

For Fall:

Applications open on January 1.

  • Applications close on March 31.
  • Course registration begins in late March.
  • Classes begin in August.

For Spring:

  • Applications open on September 1.
  • Applications close on October 15.
  • Course registration begins in late October.
  • Classes begin in January.

For Summer:

  • Applications open on January 1.
  • Applications close on March 31.
  • Course registration begins in late March.
  • Classes begin in May.

To be considered, you must have a complete application file by the materials received date listed below.

  • Round 1: Required materials received by mid-September; decisions released by mid-October.
  • Round 2: Required materials received by mid-October; decisions released by mid-November.
  • Round 3: Required materials received by mid-November; decisions released by mid-December.
  • Early Action Round 4: Required materials received by December 1, 2024; decisions released by early February.
  • Regular Decision: Required materials received by February 1, 2025; decisions released by early March.
  • The earliest application window is January – March of the 10th-grade year

Eligibility Criteria For Auburn University Application 2025-2026

Eligibility requirements to participate in Auburn First:

  • 3.5 or higher high school GPA
  • A support form was provided to Auburn First by a school counsellor
  • Completion of 10th grade

Auburn University Application for Admission Requirements 2025-2026

To be considered for an admission decision, you must have a complete application file consisting of the following items:

Traditional Applicants:

  • Submitted Admission Application
  • Paid the $50 non-refundable application fee
  • Official ACT/SAT scores sent from the testing agency
  • Uploaded copy of your high school transcript(s)

Test-Optional Applicants:

  • Minimum 3.6 cumulative GPA
  • Submitted Admission Application
  • Paid the $50 non-refundable application fee
  • Uploaded copy of your high school transcript(s)

Auburn University Application Process For Admission 2025-2026

When you’re ready to apply, go to auburn.edu/admissions or use the Common Application to submit your application. There is no preference for one application over the other. We strongly advise you to finish the application you started. Filling out both applications may cause a delay in the review of your file.

How to join

  1. Meet with your high school guidance counsellor to discuss dual enrollment opportunities. You will need their support for your Auburn First application.
  2. Complete an Auburn First application.

Ask your counsellor to submit your transcript and letter of support via eScrip-Safe or Parchment (for high schools that use electronic delivery methods) or mail to:

  • Auburn, AL 36849
  1. Submit your enrollment deposit once you receive your acceptance letter. This $250 deposit holds your place in Auburn First and will be applied to your tuition.
  2. After receiving your Auburn username and password, activate your account at auburn.edu/activate.
  3. A Student Success Coordinator will reach out to you for additional information and assist you in registering for classes. Be sure to check your new Auburn email address at owa.auburn.edu.
  4. If you are enrolling in a course offered on campus, visit auburn.edu/medical form to submit your required form into the Clearwave system.
  5. Complete the Auburn First online orientation that includes tips to successfully navigate your college courses.

Student Financial Aid Application Types

Loans

Student loan programs offer low-interest, long-term loans to students.

  • To be eligible for federal student loans, students must enrol at least half-time (6 hours for undergraduates, 5 hours for graduates) each semester. All loans must be paid back in full.
  • Auburn University offers a variety of loan options.

Grants

  • Grants are available to undergraduate students pursuing their first undergraduate degree who exhibit high financial need as assessed by the FAFSA.

Scholarships

  • Every year, Auburn University provides several scholarships to incoming and current students.
  • Freshman Scholarships, Transfer Scholarships, General Scholarships, and Departmental Scholarships are among the scholarships offered.
  • External Scholarships awarded by persons or organizations outside of Auburn are also processed.
