- GETC: ECD NQF Level 1

Higher Certificate: ECD NQF Level 5
ECD Experts (e.g., home-based practitioners, family and community ECD motivators, fieldworkers, facilitators, trainers, and managers) can deliver suitable education, training, and development services in the ECD sub-field through the Early Childhood Development (ECD) program. After completing the program, you will be qualified to teach at Educare facilities and ECD centers. In addition, you will be able to build and operate your Educare center.

GENERAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING CERTIFICATE (GETC): ECD NQF LEVEL 1
This Early Childhood Development (ECD) curriculum covers characteristics of child development, how to layout and organize creative activities to holistically develop children, and how to design and implement appropriate activities. After graduation, students can work as classroom assistants, with newborns at an ECD site, or as day mothers.

- Grade 9 Certificate and working in an ECD environment.

National Diploma: Early Childhood Development NQF Level 5
This certificate enables students/educators with a Higher Certificate in ECD with access to a Level 6 certification, allowing them to advance their career and professional development in ECD. The Diploma is also intended to allow straight entry into the Level 6 Degree.
