SASSA November Payment Status 2025-2026

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is a government-run national agency that was established in April 2005 to administer social grants on behalf of the Department of Social Development. The mandate of the Agency is to ensure the provision of comprehensive social security services against vulnerability and poverty within the constitutional and legislative framework.

The Act provides a national legislative framework for the provision of different types of social grants, social relief of distress, the delivery of social assistance grants by a National Agency and the establishment of an Inspectorate for Social Security. The Act provides for the establishment of the South African Social Security Agency as a schedule 3A public entity in terms of the PFMA.

The principal aim of the Act is to make provision for the effective management, administration and payment of social assistance and service through the establishment of the South African Social Security Agency. The President signed the Act on the 28th of May 2004.

November Payment Dates For SASSA 2025-2026

Sassa will pay grants to beneficiaries by the following dates in November:

• Older person’s allowance: Monday 3 November
• Disability allowance: Tuesday 4 November
• Children’s grants allowance: Wednesday 5 November

Sassa November Payment Method 2025-2026

If you receive a SASSA grant, you have likely chosen a payment method for receiving your funds. For your February SASSA Grant payment, you will receive it through your selected method. Available SASSA payment methods include bank transfers, ATMs, and retailers such as Shoprite, U-Save, Boxer, Pick n Pay, and Checkers.
