The 2023-2024 academic season application is currently open to all prospective students who will like to enrol at the College. All applicants are to submit their applications to the college and attach all the admission requirements to authenticate their application.
The Alabama Legislature founded Chattahoochee Valley Community College (CVCC) during the 1973 legislative session. CVCC is a community college located in Phenix City, Alabama, that serves residents of Phenix City, Russell County, and parts of Bullock, Lee, Macon, and Barbour counties.
Russell County, the eastern part of Macon County, and the southeastern corner of Lee County are its principal service areas. It also offers residents of the Ft. Benning – Columbus, Georgia metropolitan area a variety of educational possibilities.
In January of 1974, the College began operations in makeshift facilities. The College relocated to its current campus at 2602 College Drive in 1976. Owen Hall, Industry Training Center, Fine Arts, Brassell Hall, Wilson Hall, Wallace Hall, Instructional and Performing Art Center (IPAC) Building, Key Hall, and the recently purchased Adams Building are among the nine instructional and academic/student services facilities on the 103-acre campus. There are two support facilities on site (Security Building and a Greenhouse). There are two athletic fields as well (Baseball and Softball).

CVCC Registration Dates for Admission 2023-2024
Please make sure you have completed the Online Application process before you meet with an advisor to register for classes. Registration options are available for later summer Flex Start and Intersessioncourses throughout the semester. See Course Schedules for class dates.
Payment deadlines are listed and if you register after the beginning of the term, payment is due at the time of registration. Please see the CVCC Business Office Payment Policy and Methods of Payments.

CVCC Application Process For Admission 2023-2024
Follow the process below to apply for CVCC for the 2023-2024 academic year:
Submit an Application
- Click online application to create a user account and submit your application online.
- When you click the link, you’ll be sent to a page where you can establish an account with a user name and password.
- Take a snapshot of your state-issued photo ID and email it to admissions@cv.edu or hand deliver it to the address below:

Submit Transcript(s)
Transcripts from all prior high schools and universities must be submitted. Only official transcripts with the issuing institution’s official seal will be accepted.
Form for Requesting Academic Records
- CVCC is a member of Credentials eScrip-Safe and Parchment as an electronic transcript receiver.
CVCC can obtain transcripts online if the student’s prior high school, GED centre, or college is a transcript sender member.
- If the previously attended institution is a member of either of these organizations, a link to obtain transcripts should be available on the institution’s website.
Submit GED Certificate
- All non-high school graduates must submit General Education Development Test scores and a Certificate of High School Equivalency.
Attend an Academic Assessment Session
- CVCC utilizes the ACCUPLACER test for placement.
- Students may view the testing calendar for the current month at CVCC Testing Center.
Please note: All applicants must provide a social security number before submitting an application. The social security number will not be used as a means of identification; all students will be issued a student ID.
